Mamerto began having difficulty walking because of inflammation on his toe. He went in to have a minor surgery to correct the problem on July 15th, 2025. Sadly he had what seemed to be a reaction to medication that was administered which resulted in seizure, then stopped breathing. Mamerto was unresponsive and admitted to ICU in a comatose state.
After more than a week of intensive care under guarded medical supervision, Mamerto's condition has improved from lifesaving, urgent care and transitioned to long term rehabilitation from his unresponsive condition. He was discharged from professional medical treatment at the hospital on July 25th and has begun the tedious process of rehabilitation. The outcome of his continual treatment may be uncertain and will require a lot of additional care, time, effort and love.
As we all continue to pray for divine and complete healing, we still recognize that there will be continued expenses incurred by doctor and medical facility visits for cognitive and physical therapy.

100% of all financial donations made will be directly deposited and spent for Mamerto’s recovery and family needs.

Mamerto’s impressive Bio…
Mamerto was born into a poverty stricken Filipino family, is 68 and has been handicapped with asthma since childhood. In spite of that he has chosen a path of service to our Lord Jesus Christ his entire adult life. He has been in the mission field with street ministries assisted by his devoted wife (Levy) of 20 years at his side and daughter (Melody). He has relied on charitable contributions from friends, family and acquaintances. He has an impressive history of 35 years in ministry, sharing the Christian gospel, worked as staff missionary in Cebu, Baguio, La Union. Mamerto attended Bible school in Singapore, also traveled to Myanmar.
As life continues, Mamerto’s mother (now 94 yrs old) developed dementia and became bedridden. Already living on a tight budget, he chose to relocate his family to her house in 2020 in order to assist with caring for her needs along with his sister.
Even in his new role as caretaker, he began a new ministry teaching the gospel to neighborhood children... He is actively involved in ministry leading men’s group at his church. He has developed a following of about 60 (poverty level) children in the neighborhood, teaching them about Jesus every Saturday, discipling the ones who accepted Jesus in their hearts to have a closer walk with God. Sundays are spent on inviting children to go to church with him and his family. Most of these children come from poor families so Mamerto and his family regularly arrange for transportation (tricycle) so they are able to attend church.
