Help 27 LGBTQ+ Refugees in South Sudan Find Safety, Health, and Hope
Dear Friends and Supporters,
We are reaching out to you today with an urgent plea for help. A group of 27 LGBTQ+ refugees in South Sudan is facing unimaginable hardships as they strive to survive in a hostile and unsafe environment. These brave individuals have fled persecution and violence, only to find themselves in a refugee camp where they continue to face danger, illness, and deprivation. They need our support to rebuild their lives with safety, health, and dignity.
Here’s what they’re up against:
- Malaria and other illnesses are ravaging their community. Without proper protection and medicine, they are vulnerable to life-threatening diseases. They urgently need mosquito nets and medication to treat malaria and other health conditions.
- They are under constant threat of violence. Other refugees in the camp frequently attack them, leaving them feeling unsafe in their own living spaces. They need to build a protective fence around their area to create a safer environment for themselves and their children.
- They lack basic necessities. Many sleep on the ground without mattresses or proper bedding, leading to discomfort and health issues. They need more beds and mattresses to ensure they can rest and recover.
- They are struggling to feed themselves. The group does not have enough food, leaving them malnourished and weak. Your support will help provide nutritious meals to keep them healthy and strong.
- Their children are suffering too. The youngest members of this community are especially vulnerable, lacking proper care, clothing, and a safe environment to grow up in. Recently, some of their clothing was stolen, leaving them even more exposed to the elements.
How You Can Help:
Your donation will directly fund:
- Mosquito nets to protect them from malaria.
- Medicine to treat malaria and other health conditions.
- Materials to build a protective fence around their living area.
- Mattresses and beds to provide comfort and improve their health.
- Food to ensure they have enough to eat.
- Clothing and essential supplies for both adults and children.
This group of 27 individuals has already endured so much, but with your help, we can give them a chance to live with safety, health, and hope. No one should have to live in fear, go hungry, or suffer from preventable illnesses—especially those who have already faced so much adversity.
Every dollar counts. Your generosity will make a tangible difference in the lives of these refugees, providing them with the resources they need to survive and thrive. Together, we can show them that they are not alone and that there are people who care deeply about their well-being.
Please donate today and share this fundraiser with your friends, family, and networks. Let’s come together to support this courageous community in their time of need.
Thank you for your kindness and compassion.
Note: 100% of the funds raised will go directly to supporting this group of 27 LGBTQ+ refugees in South Sudan.
