Hi everyone, my name is Kim and my leg is rotting. :)

In all seriousness, I have an aggressive and infected wound that wraps all the way around my calf. The pictures of the wound are NSFW, so will be shared at the BOTTOM of this post and after a warning.

Yes, this is my leg. I am undergoing treatment at the moment and will be receiving a PICC line for IV antibiotics. (I have since received a picc line, underwent IV antibiotics which failed to heal the leg so will be undergoing a second round of antibiotics which will cost another $400 roughly. I’m just waiting for the home

health company.)

I am sharing this information here in the hopes of even a little bit of assistance. The bandage supplies themselves are set to cost me $200 over just 2 weeks and the PICC line with IV antibiotics at home set me back $1800. The second round of antibiotics will be another $400.

If this wound is not taken care of properly I will lose my leg below the knee. But it’s going to require funds to do so.

I am getting an ultrasound done because they think this is caused by venous insufficiency. I also have early-stage heart failure (enlarged heart and vascular overcrowding as well as fluid on the lungs).

It stinks and hurts as bad as it looks. I am having to use puppy pads to keep it bandaged because it immediately leaks through expensive bandages within a half hour, and my insurance is already sending me the max amount of bandage supplies.

Like I’m supposed to change the bandage once or twice a week… I’m having to change it every hour. It’s exhausting. I’ve debated this GoFundMe to assist with my medical bills. I wouldn’t even have the gas money or my copays without this help. I am very depressed lol! I can’t afford the bandages I need and my PICC line will be putting me in great debt (I have to meet my max out of pocket before insurance will cover everything).

It’s also swollen like a dang elephant trunk as you can see.

Not to mention that it hurts terribly and will get these shocks of pain, which then causes RLS in that leg, and so I cannot even just sit and rest at any given time. It’s pure torture, I swear. Trying to sleep with RLS and leg pain is like being waterboarded!

Any assistance is greatly appreciated and will only go towards the healing of my leg.
