Urgent Help Needed: Covering My Basic Expenses & Medication for June
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
I never thought I'd find myself in this position, but life has thrown unexpected challenges my way, and I have no choice but to ask for help. On May 1st, I was laid off from my position at the SBA with only seven days' notice—an abrupt downsizing that cut short my government contract by three years. Since then, I've been actively searching for work and have had promising interviews, but the opportunities that have come my way won't begin until mid-to-late June.
Unfortunately, after covering my May expenses with my final paycheck and the savings I had built up, I'm left without the means to cover my basic living costs and critical medications for June. To make matters even more difficult, I was rushed to the emergency room the same week I learned about my layoff, on the verge of Diabetic Ketoacidosis. That's when I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, adding more medications to an already essential regimen that I now struggle to afford due to the sudden loss of my health benefits.
I truly believe I won't be in this situation beyond June, but right now, I need help to get through this unexpected hardship. Anything you can contribute—whether financial support or simply sharing this campaign—would mean the world to me as I work toward securing a stable future.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your kindness and generosity will help me get through this rough patch and back on my feet.
