My dear friend, colleague, and breast cancer survivor is in need of financial assistance for recent hospitalizations, and frequent procedures such paracentesis, bronchoscopies, and was told that she will be needing a liver transplant in the future.
Joy Dwight is a new resident of Indiana and moved closer to her family during her present health crisis: a failing liver among other things.
She's substantially reduced her hours at work and has been forced to cut back on most of her living expenses. She is considering even selling her home.
A month ago, she was told by her specialist that she would need to go to Chicago at some point in the near future, in order to receive a liver transplant as there are no places offering such treatments in Indiana.
My friend Joy is a true champion and has battled breast cancer. One of the side effects of the cancer medications has caused serious damage to her liver, hence the need for a transplant.
Joy and I have worked together for five years, but she decided to move from Phoenix to Indiana to be closer to her family. Ever since she relocated, she's had mounting doctor and hospital bills, and they have spiraled out of control. Unfortunately, the doctors recommend further testing and hospitalizations; however, Joy is unable to foot the burden for any further treatments at this time. Joy also has to have repeated paracentesis procedures to drain fluid from her abdomen. These procedures are costly at $500 or more out-of-pocket costs that Joy has to pay for.
All donations are going specifically to her medical bills. Any amount that you can give to help my dear friend would be greatly appreciated.
