I am Mae Foertsch, I am John's sister. John was in a serious accident on September 6, 2025, involving a motor vehicle and a vintage tractor. John was on his was to Braddock for the threshing show to take our late fathers John Deere 1947 G tractor to the parade on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. While John was making a left turn onto the Braddock Road a pickup pulling a camper ran the stop sign and t-boned John. John was ejected from the tractor landing in the ditch face down. He sustained a broken femur on his right leg, severe brain injury / swelling, 3 face fractures, collapsed lung, a broken hand, liver and spleen damage. John was life flighted to the hospital in Bismarck to get the care he needed. He went into surgery to repair the broken leg and to also place a shunt / drain in his brain to release pressure and to help drain off fluid. John was in surgery for 2 hours and was then put directly into the ICU. He is currently still in the ICU and stable but is now fighting pneumonia and is sedated to help his brain heal. He also has a chest tube placed in his left lung but should hopefully be taken out soon. We are asking for prayers and any donation to help with medical costs and his monthly bills.
