Urgent Aid for Injured Breadwinner

It's always hard to ask for help. I fret about it, I lose sleep over it. My heart is racing in my chest as I write this.

But we do need help. I managed to injure my back somehow, while vacuuming (something I've learned about aging is that the dumbest little thing that you've done a million times can suddenly incapacitate you if you move in just the wrong way - ask me about how I once put my back out for a day from just twisting my upper body to retrieve some toilet paper while going to the bathroom... oy). It's made sitting upright very painful, and I've had to take time off work.

I am the sole earner in a two-adult, one-cat household, and while I will be returning to work next week (knock wood), I will be without a paycheck on the next payday. I need to feed my little family and keep our important bills paid over the next couple of weeks, and I could really use your help to do that.
