Urgent Aid for Friend's Medical Needs

I am raising funds to support my disabled friend for her upcoming medical journey. My 32-year-old best friend is suffering from hyper mobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and severe spinal stenosis that's led to nerve compression and loss of mobility in her legs. She also has heart failure, POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), and mitral valve regurgitation, and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, which makes it difficult for her to stand, regulate her body temperature, and perform basic daily care tasks. Her doctor has requested that she have the necessary mobility aids before her upcoming spine surgery, which has been rescheduled to 1/2 due to a loss of health insurance. This procedure, if able to be completed, has a reasonably high risk of paralysis, so the mobility aids are a priority.

The cost of the electric wheelchair with the needed accessories is $1535.00. The additional requested funds are to cover medical expenses and legal expenses connected to their divorce proceedings.

My friend is in the process of exiting a difficult DV situation and needs all of the support they can get. Unfortunately, their network is limited, and out of respect for their privacy and to alleviate strain during this difficult time, I've volunteered to fundraise on their behalf.
