Urgent Aid for Finn: Dog Attack Recovery

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

I’m Finn's godmother and Mary's bestie and I'm reaching out for help on their behalf.

On the late afternoon of Friday, June 13, 2025,  Finn was viciously attacked by another dog and Mary's world has turned upside down. Asking for help is not Mary's strong suit (she is a giver at heart), but everyone needs a hand from time to time and whether she likes it or not, this is her time.

Finn is an 7 year old Corgi who loves to pose with Mary's refinished furniture (he is a top sales dog!) and he carries around a deflated football like a prized possession! Finn is the sweetest boy and Mary's constant companion.

The attack left Finn with deep wounds (the vet described the wound to his neck as the size of a dollar bill) and severe chronic infections from the unvaccinated dog that attacked him. It was a terrifying and traumatic experience, and Finn had to undergo multiple emergency surgeries to save his life. It wasn't looking good for Finn but thankfully his specialist surgeon performed a miracle and 98 stitches and countless bandages later, he should pull through — but Finn's road to recovery will be long and expensive.

The medical bills are already stacking up, totaling over $10,000, and there will be ongoing costs for follow-up visits, medications, and special care. Mary is doing everything she can to give Finn the best chance at a full recovery, but the financial burden is overwhelming. Unfortunately the other dog's owner is an unemployed nomad.

That’s why I’m asking for your help. If you know Mary and had the pleasure of meeting Finn, you know how deeply they love each other. Finn has been a loyal companion, emotional support, and a constant source of joy. No one deserves to go through this — especially not an innocent dog who brings so much happiness to those around him.

Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward covering Finn’s medical expenses and recovery care. If you’re unable to give, please say a prayer for Finn and perhaps consider sharing this page to help us reach more people who might be able to help.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers. Let’s help Finn continue to heal and get back to living a happy, healthy life.

Thank you.
