This is whats left of their home
Fatima Umm Ali and her daughters Heba and Reem from Gaza, (daughters in the photo), lost everything.
Their home, and thier dream of a happy life for the family, where destroyed.
They fled in search of safety in the (refugee) camps. Thinking they where safe, they didn't expect it to get worse.
While displaced Fatimas husband, Muhammad Khalil, was shot and killed by IDF soldiers; shortly after he died in the camp.
Fatima and her daughter managed to escape to another camp, but unfortunately it wasn't until after the first had been bombed.
Her son was injured, and although they rushed him to the hospital his injuries where too great; the hospital was too far away, he didn't make it.
His name was Ali and he was 12 years old, Muhammed was 35.
To make matters worse, Fatima suffers from colon cancer and takes anti-cancer medication. Every 20 days there is a dose of medicine, but it's very expensive; and she's already in medical debt.
Fatima hopes to obtain the necessities of daily life and the price of medicine so that she can keep her family alive.
We're asking people to help a windowed mother in need who's already lost one child.
The list of what the money will be going towards:
- Fatima’s medication for her cancer if we get her enough will cost about 1k every 20 days (part of the reason our goal is so high)
- Food for Fatima and her daughters is also a number one priority. (This will likely cost close to 1k regularly thanks to the growing cost of food in Gaza)
- Clothes for the winter months and a tent are also important and will likely cost around 1-2k for each of the two.
- Other general necessities will also be purchased such as batteries or clean water
As the sponsor of this fundraiser, I will provide regular updates from the family to ensure transparency and confirm that all funds are going directly to the beneficiary in Gaza, Occupied Palestine.
I am Iain Zarndt from Escanaba Michigan, I am hosting this fundraiser to help Fatima; I'm doing this because it's what's right.
Please help her and her daughters, they've already lost a son and a father.
Thank you for your support!
I've begun to keep a blog for Fatima at her request, updates on her and the family will be posted there in detail.
