Our family is facing an incredibly difficult time. Our dad is currently in the ICU at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, UK, after undergoing emergency brain surgery for a severe brain bleed (subdural hematoma). He has been in a coma since the surgery, and despite the doctors’ best efforts, he has shown no signs of improvement so far. He continues to be monitored closely by his medical team as we hold on to hope for any signs of progress.
Our dad is the best. He’s the funniest person in our family and loves all of us immensely. He’s strong-willed, caring in his own unique way, and always knows how to make us laugh even in the toughest moments. He’s the kind of person who shows up when it truly matters, and though he doesn’t give endlessly to everyone, when he loves you, he gives his whole heart.
On top of the heartbreak of seeing him in this condition, we are also facing the challenges of being overseas. Navigating this situation from afar has been overwhelming—emotionally, logistically, and financially. The costs of travel, lodging, and medical-related expenses in the UK are significant, and many of these must be paid upfront by our family.
We are raising funds to help cover these urgent costs, his ongoing medical care, and the expenses that come with being by his side during this time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference and help us focus on what matters most—being there for him and holding on to hope.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your prayers, love, and support during this unimaginably hard time.
