This is an old photo. I'm a 57-year-old man who's recently been diagnosed with stage 4 colo/rectal cancer that has metastasized to my liver, with a second nodule found in the right lower lobe of my lungs. I'm currently doing chemo treatments.
Right now, the financial aspect of what I'm going through is hitting me hard and causing unnecessary delays in my care. I'm attempting to get on disability and have a lawyer helping with my case. I'm scheduled for chemo on May 20th. It will be postponed due to a change in my insurance and needing a referral from my PCP, who I won't see until June 10th. It's possible I may need surgery on my spine after a significant fall while going to get a chemo treatment. I was hospitalized for the fall. They didn't do surgery as my platelet count was low (from chemo), so I was sent home.
I hate being in this situation, but right now, it's my only option. Anything will help, and I've started another GoFundMe due to issues with my former bank. I love and appreciate you all, even if you can't donate to my cause. I'll try to be better at updating this page and keeping you all informed of what's going on with me. Thank you all for taking the time to read this & God bless you all.
