Urgent Aid for Ash & Mars' Housing Crisis

Hey folks, I'm Marjorie. This is a fundraiser for my friends, Ash and Mars, a BIPOC, trans, and disabled couple in emergent need of funds because they are being evicted. They have until July 24th to come up with the funds need to get to a safe place.

Ash is disabled from a hit and run, and their partner Mars is disabled from years of homelessness and abuse, but can't qualify for disability. Mars works part time, but that's not enough to keep them from drowning.

Ash and Mars are really caring and community oriented people who spend a lot of their energy helping others. I've spent time with them in their home, and they are wonderful people doing the best they can in a very broken system. They've been denied benefits many times, and are constantly fighting with the system to get the care they need. They have 6 cats - Apollo, Loki, Lucifer, Tauriel, Andromeda and Eowyn - and 2 dogs - Odie and Tormund.

Ash is a musician, an artist and a sorta fashion designer. You can support their music at https://novathacatalyst.bandcamp.com/. Ash needs surgery and there are things that they need in place while making sure their bills get paid so they don't lose the housing they plan to move into.

Right now at least 60% of homeless in America are also disabled and it can literally be a death sentence for them. Please consider sharing or donating if you're able. They don't have a lot of resources or in person support so they've relied on online communities in the past.
