Asalaamoalaikum Fam, it is with urgency that I reach out to you all regarding a family I have been helping raise funds for in Gh@zzah.

The family is Amjad Ibrahim Alamri - he and his 12 remaining family members are displaced in the south of G@z@, Falasteen, at the Rafah border. His home, along with his families' homes have all been destroyed in Northern G@z@ City. His eldest sister had 4 children, who were all k1lled in an airstrike during the first days of this g3noci1de.

One of his sisters, Sarah, remains in Northern Gaza and they have lost all contact with her. Her status to whether she is alive or not is UNKNOWN. His remaining two sisters and brother, along with their small children, and his mother and father (aged 51 & 71) are sheltering together in tents.

Prior to the horrific events post Oct 2023, Amjad was a popular chef in Gh@zza and posted his culinary creations via @amjad._.chef on Instagram. He had quite the following but Meta permanently deleted his account for documenting and sharing the g3noc1de.

His backup account is @amjad._.a1996 and this is how I've been in communication via phone/video and chat. He has shown me the destruction and devastation. When they were evacuating from Raf@h, and were displaced to tents, we all gathered and were able to get him and his family a tent. Then the occupation burn3d down their tent and so we gathered more funds and got them a new one.

Right now, the atrocities taking place are horrifying - all in the blessed month of Ramadan. There is no food or water and the situation is critical. Please find it in your hearts to donate and donate generously.

Here are some key teachings and examples of our beloved Prophet's (Peace be upon Him) words on charity:

"Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth" .

"Charity extinguishes sins as water extinguishes fire" .

"The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be their charity" .

"He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while the neighbour to his side goes hungry" .

"When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them" .

I have been helping raise funds for this family since the start of January 2024. May Allah (swt) accept our efforts and may the duas of the oppressed reach the highest levels of Jannah, Ameen. May every penny be a form of increased barakah and rahma for the receiver and the giver, Ameen.

Some logistical questions answered below:

I gather and then donate via the Moneygram app to a family member that is in Cairo and they are able to get the funds over to Amjad and his family FOR BASIC FOOD AND WATER. THE CHILDREN ARE STARVING.

I am simply a vessel, but one that has been tasked with helping. I don't know what else to do or how else to help except to use my little platform to help get food, water and shelter to the underpriveleged.
