My name is Saidah Al-Ansari. I am from Florida, in the United States and I have created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend Amal Mahmoud. With your support, Amal will be able to secure the most basic necessities of life. Clean water, food, clothing, shelter and other daily supplies.

As we raise money, all donations will be sent to Amal directly through a secure bank wire transfer.

Here is Amal’s message:

My name is Amal. I am a woman from Gaza, a wife and a mother, trying to hold on to life after everything changed. I am writing these words to share my story honestly—not seeking sympathy, but seeking human understanding.

Before the war, we lived a simple life. It was not easy, but it was stable. We had a home to shelter us, a roof under which we felt safe, and small dreams we postponed for a better day. Then the war came, and everything ended in an instant. We lost our home, and with it, the sense of stability.

We now live a reality we did not choose, trying to start over without the tools to do so. The war ended in the news, but it continues in the details of our daily lives. Today, we live in difficult conditions, trying to provide the basics, maintain our dignity, and protect our children from fear and loss.

The hardest part of life after the war is not only what we lost, but the psychological burden,
the constant worry about the future, and the feeling that we face this heavy reality alone.

I have never been one to ask for help,
and self-reliance has always been our first choice. But the current circumstances have exceeded what we can endure alone, and seeking support has become a necessity, not a choice.

I created this campaign to ask for a human gesture, for the sake of my family, and to regain a measure of stability, and try to build a simple and safe life again.

Any support, in any form, and any sharing of this campaign, can help ease this burden and remind us that we are not alone.
I believe that human solidarity does not require a single language, and that compassion can cross all boundaries.

Thank you to everyone who reads my story,
thank you to everyone who chooses to be part of the journey of recovery after the war, and thank you to every heart that has not forgotten Gaza.
