I’m Morgan McClary a family friend of Alyssa, and I’m creating this GoFundMe on her behalf because she is in an extremely urgent and heartbreaking situation after surviving years of domestic violence and the court systems have failed her.
They literally gave her days notice to vacate her house after her landlord was trying to charge her to break the lease even though she’s a single mom who just got out of a years of abuse.

Alyssa recently became a single mom to her daughter and son after finally escaping eight years of physical and verbal abuse from her daughter’s father/her son’s stepfather. Things escalated so severely this past year that a family member had to call the police in July, which led to his arrest. There is now a no-contact order in place until February 2026.

Since the court date, Alyssa has been left to carry the full weight of everything on her own — rent, bills, groceries, car payments, caring for her two children, and the five elderly pets they shared. On top of that, she recently lost her long-term job (the same place her abuser worked) due to the chaos caused by the DV situation. She has been applying for jobs every day and going to interviews, but this past week things have taken a devastating turn: her car has been further damaged and she has been served an eviction notice.

She is working with a DV advocate, but so far no programs have been able to offer her the financial help she urgently needs.

Alyssa has very little nearby family support. She has tried so hard to avoid asking for help like this, but she is truly out of options. Any amount donated will help keep her and her children safe, housed, and able to move forward from this nightmare.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to anyone who can help or share.
