Help Us Care for 21 Abandoned Dogs
We are DogWalker Ranch in Ocala, Florida. Our mission is simple: to provide dogs with the care, safety, and attention they deserve — especially when they arrive in urgent, unexpected situations.
How It Began
On July 10, 2025, 21 dogs were dropped off at our facility under the promise of payment and pickup after 30 days. That promise was never kept. Instead, we were left to care for all 21 dogs with no further support from the owner.
When they arrived, the dogs were in extremely poor condition — underweight, severely matted, and in need of immediate veterinary care. While the owner provided a small amount of funding for vaccinations, DogWalker Ranch has covered every other cost since then: food, housing, medical treatment, and extra staffing.
Where Things Stand Now
Adoptions: 6 of the 21 dogs have already been adopted into loving homes.
Medical Updates: With the help of Paddock Park Animal Hospital, all 21 dogs have been heartworm tested. Seven tested positive and have begun treatment. We now have the first 30 days of their medications, as well as flea & tick prevention for all of them.
Spay & Neuter: With the help of Marion County Animal Services, every dog has been spayed or neutered.
Ongoing Needs: One dog, Krypto, has a mass that needs removal and treatment for cancer. Several others will require additional rounds of heartworm treatment and ongoing preventative care.
Why We’re Raising Funds
While progress has been made, the cost of caring for 21 dogs is overwhelming. Your donations will go directly toward:
Food & Daily Care – We feed Purina One daily to restore the dogs’ weight and health.
Veterinary Costs – Ongoing heartworm treatment, preventative care, and critical surgery for Krypto.
Facility Costs – Running an entire kennel wing 24/7 has caused a major increase in our electricity bill.
Legal Action (if funds allow) – After all medical and daily needs are met, we plan to pursue legal action to ensure the former owner is held accountable and prevented from owning animals again.
Our Promise
At DogWalker Ranch, the dogs always come first. We will continue to care for them no matter what, but we cannot do this alone. Every dollar, bag of food, or even just sharing this fundraiser makes a direct difference.
