Today, I'm reaching out with a plea for Jennifer Lamason, a mother of three young children (ages 4, 8, and 10), who is facing a dire situation. Her life took a tragic turn with the sudden and unexpected death of her husband. The shock and grief are immense, especially for her eldest daughter, who is deeply affected, while the youngest can hardly grasp the enormity of their loss.

In the midst of this emotional turmoil, Jennifer is also confronted with a critical financial crisis. The family has been evicted from their rental house, a situation that has upend the little stability they had left. Jennifer is doing everything in her power to maintain stable employment after having been forced to shut the doors to her small business, leaving her with no financial means to support her small children. Jennifer is determined more than ever to provide a better life for her children, a life built on the family values she's always held dear.

Compounding her struggles, Jennifer and her family are burdened with a $33,000 funeral expense, $20,000 of which was due to the burial insisted upon by her in-laws. Her in-laws now refuse to contribute to the funeral expenses for their son/brother, leaving Jennifer and her family with an addition $30,000 in debt. This unexpected financial load has made her fight all the more challenging.

We are calling on your support to help raise $100,000. This amount will not only cover the funeral costs but also assist Jennifer in keeping her family in a home, and provide a financial buffer for basic needs. In addition, helping her continue to provide the children with medical coverage, after loosing their father whose employer provided medical benefits.
