Hi my name is Mandy, I am Melanie's sister-in-law. I created a GoFundMe for Melanie in 2022 to help her get through her battle with breast cancer when she was originally diagnosed. She went through treatment and was cleared. However, on May 2nd, 2025 Melanie was given the heartbreaking news that her cancer has returned and has spread to her liver and hips. The prognosis isn't good; the doctors are going to focus on preventative treatment to slow down the spread and increase quality of life, but at this point there is no cure. Melanie has been off work for 10 weeks already due to pain, with no plans to return. We are now looking for funds to help her with living costs as well as making some lasting memories with her 8 year old son Kade. We are setting the goal a bit higher this time as we would also like to setup an endowment fund for Kade and his future needs.
