Lacy Peppers Chivers Glioblastoma Treatment
Donation protected
The weekend before Christmas Lacy was taken to the emergency room and a CT scan was completed and revealed a large tumor. On Christmas Eve she underwent surgery to remove the tumor and when the biopsy returned it revealed Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme. This a rare, very aggressive form of brain cancer with limited treatment options.

The surgery went very well and Lacy is feeling back to her normal self. She has seen many doctors in the past few weeks in search of the best treatment for her. Her records were sent many places and she received a call from the Cleveland Clinic about a clinical trial. Last week she made a trip to see their amazing facility and meet the team who will be providing her care. They need to begin her treatment as soon as possible so she will be leaving this week to begin the process. For the initial treatment she will have to stay in Cleveland for 6 weeks and then she will be able to come home for parts of the treatment. This will require several trips back and forth to Cleveland for Lacy and Rusty, as well as an apartment near Cleveland Clinic for her to stay during the initial 6 week treatment. All of this while continuing her most important jobs as a wife, and mother to Lila and Witt.
All donations will go straight to Lacy and Rusty to help ease the burden of travel expenses, gas, housing, food, and medical bills. Any help is more than appreciated and will alleviate some of the the stress over finances so the focus can be on Lacy's health as she receives her cancer treatment.
There is also an account open at Diamond Bank in Glenwood, Arkansas where donations can be made. If you would rather send a gas or food card directly to them please let me know.
