Help the Urbina Fonseca family after house fire.

Hello everyone.

My name is Lola Preza and I have created this GoFundMe for my Abuelita and two uncles, Alberto and Robert Fonseca who survived a house fire in the middle of the night on July 16th.

This is the only account they have authorized.

San Jose, CA.

On July 16, around 1:30AM, my Abuelita, Adilia Urbina & Tio Alberto Fonseca's house caught fire destroying the roof, several rooms and bathroom. The aftermath of water debris, smoke damage, and holes in the walls, floors and roof has left our family seeking assistance in many forms.

First, a check-in.

Everyone made it out alive, my Abuelita, two uncles, and Angel, my Abuelita's dog.

We are thankful that there were no losses of life and that they have a second opportunity to enjoy this lifetime.

About the Urbina and Fonseca family.

My Abuelita is 92 years old and has recently been through health issues and had achieved some peace of mind from her aches and pain. She does not know the full extent of damage yet and we are purposely keeping that visual trauma from her at this time.
She has temporarily relocated to her daughter Sylvia's house in San Francisco. So far she seems to be okay, but more fragile than ever.

Alberto and Robert Fonseca are brothers, two of my Abuelita's four sons.

Robert Fonseca is temporarily staying with family until housing can be established. He lost everything in his room. From clothes, to shoes, to his every day necessities, including the actual walls. How does he start over and keep going--this is the question.

Alberto Fonseca is absolutely devastated by the loss. He has worked hard to maintain the house and this blow has set him back.

We keep encouraging them all that God does not give us more than we can handle and that this fire, while devastating as it is, is over, the damage is done but we can rebuild.

About the house.
Many generations of our family have grew up in this house and this sudden loss has many of us reeling in memories and sadness.

Rebuilding.
Unfortunately, due to prior economic circumstances, there was no house insurance. Yes, no house insurance.

So we are now starting the process of figuring how we can repair and rebuild the house.

We are seeking assistance for the following:

To help with the costs of a structural engineer, a plumber, an electrician, debris removal services, a down payment for either a restoration, if possible or for new construction. We are researching costs for both; a rebuild to parts of the house that are unequivocally damaged and repairing the rest.

To help replace items destroyed for all three of them.
Beds.
Clothes
Shoes.
A wheelchair.
Furniture, dressers, and similar items will be helpful but there is no place for those things just yet.
One or Two storage units, for a few months or a year.

To help with housing either long term until a plan is in motion or short term, if that's all we can secure.

We are thankful for any and all assistance during this time and would not have asked anyone of this if this wasn't absolutely a necessity!

Any recommendations, ideas, suggestions, gift cards, coffee cards, or hook-ups are more than welcomed.

Every dollar and donation will go straight to them.

Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
