Grammy-nominated Dr. Ietef "DJ Cavem" Vita the O.G. (Organic Gardener) is a Denver-born eco-hip hop artist, educator, and vegan chef in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a vegan chef and hip-hop MC, Dj Cavem uses the power of hip-hop to raise awareness about social issues, including food inequality and environmental degradation.

IN THE NAME OF LOVE.

I'm on a mission to use my voice not just on the mic, but also in creating positive change for our planet. Last summer, as the Climate Justice Artist In Residence with Artist As First Responder, cross-pollinating with Afro-Indigenous holistic land stewards, I successfully completed a residency in Salvador-Bahia, Brazil. This November, I've been given an amazing immersive learning opportunity to participate in ReglaSoul, a farming and sustainability program in the Carribean Islands. I need your support to make it happen!

This program isn't just about farming – it's about learning how sustainable agriculture can combat climate change, promote food justice, and empower communities. It will explore topics such as urban farming, regenerative agriculture, issues of food apartheid, environmental racism, climate crisis, solutions to current food shortages, and more. As a hip-hop artist, I've always believed in the power of music to inspire change. I want to learn how to contribute to a more sustainable future through art and actions.

By participating in this program, I'll gain valuable knowledge and skills that I can bring back to my community. I'll learn about organic farming practices, renewable energy, and how to build resilient food systems that benefit everyone, especially those most vulnerable to environmental challenges. This program will also include travel to learn about the great agricultural and healing contributions of Africans brought to the Americas as enslaved persons.

Participants in this program have a unique opportunity to start a dialogue with farmers across the Americas, community cooperatives, herbalists, Afro-Indigenous religious leaders, scholars, and educational institutions. As part of the approach to nurturing sustainable relationship-building in the Caribbean, your donations help me directly support the people and distribute seeds to the community. I will facilitate educational workshops using these seeds.

But here's the thing—we need your help covering travel, accommodation, and food costs. That's why I'm contacting you, my friends, fans, and supporters, to ask you to help me realize this dream.

Your donation will help cover expenses and enable me to share what I learn with others through my music and community outreach efforts. Here's how your contribution can make a difference:

$50: Helps cover some ground transportation costs.
$100: Contribute to accommodation expenses during my stay.
$250: Supports program fees and materials for hands-on learning.
$500: Assists with meal expenses.
$1000: Provides a significant contribution toward overall travel expenses.

Every dollar counts, and no donation is too small. Whether you can give or share my campaign with your network, your support means everything to me.

Join me on this journey to learn how to feed our global communities, plant seeds, gain wisdom, and save the planet as I blend hip-hop's rhythm with sustainable agriculture's wisdom, championing sustainability and social justice. Together, We can create a brighter, greener, more compassionate future for all.

Thank you for believing in me and being a part of this movement!
