Dear Beloved Clients,
First and foremost, we love and miss you tremendously. Urban was built on the premises that we wanted to be more than just a place where you got your hair done. We wanted to be the place where people felt that they were family. Where one can relax. Every single Urban Halo personnel plays an enormous part in the culture that Nash and his family have worked so hard to create. Urban Halo is not just a place of work, it is a place where everyone can connect with people and create relationships, new and old.
This covid-19 Pandemic has been devastating. It has affected us all, here in the United States and all around the world. In over 10 years of business, Urban Halo for the first time, had to close its doors and lay off staff.
Many industries have been affected but the salon industry has taken one of the biggest hits. The financial stress that this pandemic has had on our support staff and stylists, has been horrifying. Owners Nash Noufal and Henry Noufal have been doing their best to help. Truth of the matter is that the closing of the business has created huge hardships to our dedicated staff whom we consider to be family.
Unfortunately, we do not know for certain when the reopening of Urban Halo will be. We are a service industry that does not get a set salary. Therefore, the longer the business stays closed or slow, the more hardships our staff must endure with no income being generated.
We started this fundraiser to support our Urban Halo Salon family, through donations, so that they may be able to cover housing, food, healthcare, etc. 100% of funds contributed will go directly to our stylists and support staff. This is for the stylists, the support staff. The amount we can distribute to our staff depends on how much we can raise. Donations to GoFundMe cannot be claimed as a tax write off.
Our goal is to reach $75,000. We have 16 families not including Nash and Henry that we help support. We will distribute funds equally to each of our staff via Venmo or check and will provide records and receipts of all distributed funds per request. All personal identifying information will be kept confidential. If the campaign raises more than its goal, the remaining funds will be distributed evenly.
