I am the senior teacher of Ipsalu International. Ipsalu is a path of transformation and healing that includes Kriya Yoga, Tantric principle, Bioenergetics, primal healing and many methods of active and passive meditations. My path started with teaching Reiki and then becoming a licensed massage therapist in 1996. Things evolved quickly in my healing practice, and due to my empathic and intuitive nature, I was soon supporting clients through their emotional processing, .
I participated in the Ipsalu Level 1 workshop in early 2000, and felt a deep inner calling as a teacher of this path. In order to attain all my certifications in this path, it has taken many years and much travel, including 3 trips to India to meditate and study at the Osho International campus. I am currently responsible for teaching all the advanced Ipsalu workshops and Ipsalu teacher trainings around the world. My mentor Bodhi Avinasha is the founder of Ipsalu, and it is with her blessing that I am now the one to carry the lineage of this practice.
Ipsalu is a synthesis of practices from Babaji Nagaraj, the school of Pythagoras, Tibetan methods, and meditation techniques from enlightened mystic Osho Rajneesh. I teach this path in nine different countries.
Urban Namaste is currently a one-room meditation center in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In addition to the Ipsalu classes that I teach, we have many other teachers and healers sharing their wisdom and gifts. These offerings include yoga, sound healing, reiki, liberation breathing, support groups, music, dance and art therapy.
We have outgrown this sacred space and the time has come for the project to take flight. Urban Namaste is meant to be an ashram with facilities that enable us to offer all of our groups and trainings; including those that are residential. For over a decade, I have been renting a venue that houses participants and teachers for the advanced and deeper workshops. The costs of renting prohibit our ability to schedule these workshops more frequently. Once we have our own housing facilities, we will be able to not only schedule more frequent intensives, but also offer events to those who could benefit greatly, but have no means to pay. We will be able to offer more scholarships and expand our community outreach by funneling all our resources back into the Urban Namaste project.
Urban Namaste is a non-profit organization, which reflects our life in service. However, we do not intend to rely solely on donations. We will open our ashram as a bed and breakfast when not running residential workshops, we will also host visiting facilitators and their groups, have a vegan café, bookstore and continue our daily classes year round. These are all important ways to support our community as well as sustain our ashram.
You can support Urban Namaste's vision of a more kind and compassionate humanity, by helping to build the facility where this important, healing work can be expanded. My vision is to spread love and kindness into the world, alleviating stress, illness and violence.
I see Urban Namaste as an ever-evolving project that will serve our community for generations to come. The offerings will continue to expand as we grow.
Urban Namaste is the celebration of an awakened humanity. We provide a space of healing, love and transformation, and are dedicated to making these life-transforming events available and affordable to everyone. Global Peace begins with Inner Peace.
