Urban Academy's Unforgettable Theatre Journey

Hello! My name is Rosa Schneider, and I am proud to teach English and Drama at Urban Academy Laboratory High School, a unique alternative high school in New York City.

For 25 years, Urban has been home to an extraordinary tradition: producing a full musical in just three weeks. For many of our students, it’s their first time stepping onto a stage, learning choreography, or building a set. It’s a whirlwind of music, movement, and creativity, and it’s truly life-changing.

This year we're preparing for an exciting new production—but we need your help to make it happen! While we have an incredible directing team in place, we’re seeking to hire a professional choreographer to bring the show to life (let’s just say choreography isn’t my strong suit).
