Mother of 2 Fighting Breast Cancer
Donation protected
This is my beautiful cousin, Kim White. Kim was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is now facing immediate surgery. Although employed full-time as a hair stylist, Kim has limited health insurance coverage and no paid sick leave. She needs financial help to survive the loss of income now and 6 months from now as she undergoes reconstructive surgery.
Kim is a wonderful mother of two lovely children and lives in Minnesota. Because Kim is strong in her Christian faith, is young and optimistic, we know she'll get through this difficult time. Kim strives to maintain her health; so the cancer was caught early. Despite the early diagnosis, this and subsequent surgeries coupled with the lengthy recovery involved will be a physical, emotional, and financial challenge. She faces weeks of recovery before she can return to work; and in the mean time won't be able to cook, clean, or do laundry for some time without help. Her young 7th grade daughter remains in school and her son is training with the Army National Guard and can only provide limited help to their mom, although they are committed to do what they can.
With limited medical insurance coverage and no paid sick leave from her work, the coming financial strain will easily overwhelm Kim and her family. This fund has been established to help Kim with her medical bills which will quickly mount into the many thousands of dollars that she will be directly responsible for.
I know there are many others in Kim's position right now -- that is why we only ask for what you can give. With our help, Kim can beat her cancer and survive with dignity. Any amount will help her. Thank you sincerely for your kindness.
With a grateful heart,
Irene
