Hi.. so today 12/12/23 on my way to work i noticed my car was making a really bad knocking sound while heading to work on the interstate & when i took the nearest exit, it struggled to accelerate. the car stalled out but started right up at an intersection as i was pulling into a walgreens parking lot. i opened the hood to find the engine shaking badly & smoke coming from the motor. i shut off the car & went to grab motor oil as a solution but the car no longer starts. after talking with a couple of mechanics, neither think the car is worth saving & it’s sounding like the engine is seized. my car is now awaiting its final destination at a junk yard..

so why are we here? as many people who know me are aware, i’ve been working as a delivery driver for over 20 years. my car is my main means of income. for two decades, the formula has been simple: no car = no work = no money

i, like many, live paycheck to paycheck & without a car, i’m doing my best to not sink further & further into debt. having spent my entire day trying to sort thru the chaos of what to do & what’s my best option, it seems like this is one of my few hopeful solutions. a brand new car would be great but it’s also not realistic for me. from all of the research i’ve done so far.. something solid/reliable is gonna cost me quite a bit. the more i can raise, the less i’d get buried in monthly payments for whatever i get.

anyway, that’s where we are. i don’t have a working car & therefore cannot work. a holiday miracle would be a lifesaver. i’m hopeful!
