On September 8, 2021, my 17 year old nephew Brandon was diagnosed with Leukemia. He has been in the hospital most of the 5 weeks, the last 3 weeks he has been in the ICU due to complications from the first round of chemo. My sister Cindy and her husband Jose have not left his side, they have been at the hospital with him this entire time. This came as a surprise because my nephew showed no signs of illness until the night he had to be rushed to the hospital due to severe pain on his side. This has been extremely hard for my sister, my brother in law and their 2 younger children having to be separated because due to COVID19 no one is allowed in the hospital only the parents. I'm creating this GoFundMe to help them remain at the hospital with Brandon while he continues to fight this battle. My sister and her husband never imagined that a year after she won her battle with Cancer they would be going on through it with their son. This is Brandon's senior year instead of enjoying his last year of high school with his friends and making plans for college he is fighting for his life. His life changed in a blink of an eye.

My sister is holding on to her faith and praying for a miracle, God healed her and he will heal Brandon.

On March 27, 2020 Cindy posted the following on Facebook on March 27, 2020:

"In the midst of all the chaos going on around the world with the COVID19 there are others that are suffering with personal issues as well. I AM not one to ever post my personal business out there but today I will make the exception!!!! I'm beyond happy and literally in tears My Cancer battle is over, just got the news I have been praying for months now! I am CLEARED!! Thankful to God to whom I've always prayed to with so much faith and listened to the pleas of my heart."
