Almost a month ago, Kyle managed to hyperextend his knee very badly playing basketball. The MRI revealed a torn meniscus and bone contusions. All of his bills must be paid out of pocket, as he doesn't have insurance. Kyle fully supports himself, and as a young adult this injury is debilitating mentally, and especially financially. Unable to work (he's a waiter and production assistant), he can't be on his feet. He's at risk of losing his housing, and needs medical care.
