HELP OUR FAMILY'S WORLD SURVIVE, MY FATHER
Hi, my name is Jocel and I am fundraising for Santiago Danny Blanco, my loving dad who is in dire need of help.
In the year 2020, when pandemic started, my dad, Danny Blanco, was diagnosed of Colorectal Cancer. He subsequently underwent chemotherapy for 6 months and eventually had his rectal & liver surgery to take out his tumor and liver lesions last July 1st.
With God’s grace and love, he survived the 8.5 hours procedure and he seemed okay after this and was discharged out of the hospital on July 7th. However, 3 days after, around midnight of July 10th, he was found unconscious by my mother on the floor and was bleeding profusely. He was rushed to the hospital where the bleeding continued. He had to undergo emergency procedures and stayed in the ICU for one week where he also underwent several days of blood transfusion.
The delicate condition of my dad plus the effect of multiple procedures led to several side effects and complications like thrombosis, pneumonia, AF and others which specialists are continuing to monitor with urgency.
As we continue to pray for my dad’s healing, the hospital bills and medical expenses are continuing to pile up significantly to over PHP 1.5M as of the moment (on top of PhP3.3M spent for the past procedures and treatments) which need to be personally paid since there is very limited healthcare coverage in the Philippines. My family has been doing all we can to shoulder the expenses, but unfortunately we were not prepared for its further rise.
All throughout our lives, my dad sacrificed so much in order to provide for us. He always thinks about us and our needs before his own needs. While my dad was in the ER suffering and fighting for his life, my sister said that he even asked for the time and said that he felt bad that my sister was not able to sleep anymore. He is a very loving and selfless father and husband. Even in times of his own needs, he would still share and help those who are in need in our community and extended family. He is our family’s world.
I am away from them and I a m feeling lost and broken. How I wish I could be with my dad and my family during this most difficult time. I am reaching out to you all to appeal for your generosity to please help my dad and our family to fund his continued medical expenses.
Expressing my gratitude for your generosity and wishing you and your families more blessings!
Sincerely,
Jocelyn Blanco Roberts
