HELP ME BEAT STAGE 3 CANCER !!!

Hello world,

My name is Bob and I was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal and abdominal cancer during an emergency surgery on my large intestine on 2-9-24 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

As part of the above surgery, my large intestine had to be placed on the outside of my body. So far, I have been able to maintain the cost of the ostomy supplies associated with this major lifestyle/body change with the help of my family and close circle of friends.

I do not have any medical insurance for the time being, as I was laid off from my job of 15+ years in April of 2023. I have applied for support through the state government, but that decision of whether I will receive any support is about 7 months away. This forces me to currently pay for most of the medical supplies and medicines for the time being.

I just completed my first round of chemotherapy on 4-28-24 of two different drugs. The drugs associated with the chemotherapy have placed to much of a financial burden on me and my family's fixed income, so I am asking for support from anyone who can afford to help me fight this terrible disease.

I am so grateful for the support group consisting of my family, my close network of friends, and all of the doctors and surgeons assigned to my personal cancer team at Vanderbilt. Together, we will collectively beat my stage 3 cancer. I have and will remain positive throughout this entire process.

There is no blame, and I am not a victim. What I do know is the time to fight is now. The time is always NOW.
