Andrei Walter Medical Help

Donation protected
Hi, I’m creating this account on behalf of Andrei Walter. The son of Kyle Walter and Danette Nielsen. The baby of the family, Andrei, was in a serious motorcycle accident early this morning. We are asking for prayers at this time. He was unresponsive when they found him and was intubated and life flighted to St. George Regional Hospital. They rushed him into emergency surgery to release the pressure on his brain and remove a blood clot. He has a cervical fracture at C7, bruised lungs, fractures in his face and some by his ear.
Andrei is the life of the party, always cracking jokes, resilient, one of the fanciest dressers, fun loving and always ready for the next adventure.
It’s going to be a long journey, We are hoping to help Andrei’s family be able to focus on his recovery without worrying about the financial burden of the wreck and medical bills.
Any help is appreciated. Even just sharing this post would mean the world to them.

Update-they removed the intubation tube and Andrei is breathing on his own.

Update from Andrei’s dad Kyle:
This is a general update and not specific to anyone. I have had too many messages and very little time. Actually, today has been a really rough day. He’s is unresponsive and very swollen. Sadly, we found out additional news today as well. He had actually died on the scene, and they were able to bring him back through intubation and several other measures. He has many complications with his broken neck, fluids in his lungs and his fractured skull and multiple fractures elsewhere and with his initial brain surgery, which adds additional complications as well. They had to remove about a 4 inch section of his skull and to remove his blood clots and that seems to be doing OK. He has spinal fluid draining through his nasal cavity and out his nose and in other areas that they are trying to get under control. They are considering an operation to drain the fluids from his lungs. However, with his broken neck and other fractures, they are concerned it might do further serious damage during the operation. And his first brain surgery was only three days earlier and he’s attempting to recover from that. He has not been coherent enough to eat anything and they are installing a feeding tube. Luckily, because they were able to take him almost immediately into surgery upon his arrival, we are even having this discussion. This has literally been nonstop and minute by minute. Over the night, he has swollen throughout his body, and has had bit of a fever. He is now on heavy antibiotics and is very susceptible to serious infection. There are way too many things to list in a text. My emotions are so on the surface now I’m really not able to talk much on the phone without breaking down so texting is better. Please, please send many prayers for Andrei. My daughter and niece were so kind as to set up a GoFundMe account for his benefit. All of the donations will be given directly to Andrei for his recovery. Please only donate if you feel the desire. There is no pressure or expectation from us as a family because this was set up by others out of kindness in their effort to help Andrei. There will be a lot of expense moving forward. Andrei has been through a lot the last few years and with his Alopecia Universalis and severe depression and now this, it will also take its toll on him. Our family went through this similar situation with my oldest son about 14 years ago. This one is very similar but yet so different. He has a long recovery ahead of him, but I am confident the Lord will bless him and get him through it. The Lord has performed so many miracles already. All thanks be to him. Thank you all for your love and concern and all the prayers for Andrei. Wishing you all well and may God bless you always.
