Kristen Swan donation fund

Donation protected

In October 2012 my mom, Kristen Swan, went into the ER for some persistent stomach cramping which was later diagnosed with advanced stage colon cancer at age 45. We sought out multiple oncologists to make sure she was getting the very best treatment possible. Since that day my mom has gone through 3 surgeries, radiation, and 3 rounds of a high dose chemotherapy cocktail in our attempt to kick cancers butt.
For the past 3 years Kristen has been a trooper pushing through her treatments and is getting ready to start her 4th round of chemo.

Although she has been strong and well supported through this difficult time, her cancer has taken a toll physically, mentally and financially. The out of pocket medical expenses have added up over the years and my goal is to give my parents a sense of normalcy during this difficult time.
The purpose of this account is to allow those who wish to donate the ability, so my parents can focus on paying medical expenses without worrying about how they will pay their day to day bills such as the mortgage, groceries, help with cleaning the house, yard work, ect. It would also allow my dad to take time off as needed to spend time with his wife. Any donation would be greatly appreciated by the Swan family. Please feel free to share stories, prayers or well wishes on here as well, I'll be sure my mom gets to read every one. I will also try and periodically check in and update how she's doing for our loved ones and friends. We are so grateful for all the support we have been blessed with, thank you to everyone who loves my mom so much!

Update: Kristen currently just started her 4th round of an intense chemo cocktail that she gets every other week. She spends much if her time at home with the dogs giving her body every chance possible to heal. She loves having dinner with her family and recently got to celebrate the marriage of her son and new daughter at a wedding that could not be more perfect! Some pain medicine is needed and her appetite isn't the best causing some weight loss, but most days she has a smile on her face anyways. The days my dad is at work she spends most of her time with her children and long time friend Wynne. On her days of feeling good she tries to get out as much as possible and take the trailer away to find some peace and fresh air! As mentioned earlier, I would love to be able to show her anything you guys write to her so please do if you feel like it.
-Thank you!
