This is a story about loss, a story about redemption and a story about second chances. It's also a story about hope, love and a future. This could even be YOUR story. Hi, my name is Armando, and I am asking for you to join me on this incredible journey toward the conclusion of MY story.

It all began with the loss of my daughter in 2004; her name is Destiny. My then-wife and I suffered an incomprehensible loss at the passing of our child, a child our families were eagerly waiting to meet.

This led to a severe downward spiral of my mental health, causing me to abuse alcohol, relationships and ultimately, my freedom. I became a very angry man who was mad at God, mad at others and extremely mad at myself... I had failed. But as soon as the mental fog of pain and despair began to lift. I decided that I just couldn't lose another daughter. This is when I petitioned the courts and became the adoptive parent of my then-wife's little one, whom I was blessed to meet when she was just 2 years old. She was my daughter. I was there when she got hurt. I was there when she caught her first fish. I was there for her every single day until I committed a crime that would lead to where I am today, incarcerated. But have no fear; those who put their trust in God will never be put to shame. I have committed the past decade and a half to change, which has led to new love, hope and now an incredible future. I am planning on using the funds raised to retain help in the preparation of my application for a hearing before a clemency board. There are entire families praying and trusting in the opportunity for them to be blessed by your contribution. We have an incredible amount of information that was not presented on my behalf during the criminal justice process, and I am only asking for the opportunity to do so. The outcome of this process, now made available to me on January 1, 2022, is what will be the beautiful beginning of my second chance.
