Rebuild HOPE: Please HELP Ahmed’s family from Gaza

Hello, my name is Walaa and I currently live in the UK. Due to money raising restrictions in Palestine, I organized this campaign on behalf of my brother Ahmed who lives in Gaza.

Here is Ahmed’s story.

I’m Ahmed Alhendi, 33 year-old from Gaza , a hardworking accountant and a loving father of 3 kids Anas, Raghad and Mira. I’m trying to reach out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for support . Me and my family have experienced the horrible impact of the ongoing war in Gaza and we find ourselves desperately in need of assistance to rebuild our life again.

Me, my two brothers and my parents had a lovely warm 3- floor house together that we worked all hard for years to establish and live peacefully . But in the meantime, as you see in the pictures, our memories are sadly crushed under the rubbles and all we own is a tent facing the harsh reality of displacement and uncertainty about the future . We’ve completely lost everything since every penny we had was invested in this big house. My father is an elderly man who needs a special care and I’m heartbroken to see him living in a tent lacking the basic necessities of life, preoccupied with thinking how we’ll be able to stand up as a family again and rebuild our life from scratch. But with your support there is always a glimmer of hope.

After the war , no shelter, no life. It’s so heartbreaking seeing everything shattered in front of our eyes. In this house used to live 4 families it’s like 20 family members who are now disabled and lost.

During the war, we became five as my wife delivered my angel Mira and immediately started her life in a tent suffering the harsh weather and circumstances.

Since 7th of October, we have already evacuated within Gaza multiple times times, going back and forth, going from north-Gaza to mid-Gaza and then towards the south, moving in the south from area to another seeking shelter with bombings over our heads yet were able to make it miraculously.

Fundraising goals

I have initiated this GoFundMe campaign with two goals. First, to find a flat for rent in the south during the war which costs 1000 $ per month so that I could take care of my dad and my newborn daughter Mira and see them get better until we can have a plan to stand up and rebuild our life again after the war. Moreover, with

short supplies in Gaza, we have been buying food and essentials at unimaginably high prices. So your donation will help a family survive in such a distress. Second goal is to rebuild a house from scratch as ours is completely demolished.
