Upton's Knee Surgery and Recovery
Donation protected
Hi everyone - many of you know Upton the Pupton, my sweet rescue who joined the family in March 2022. During his first-ever outing to a dog park, he got injured, resulting in a potentially torn CCL (the doggo equivalent of his ACL) and the discovery that he has a condition called patella luxation - his knee cap slides out of place causing him to limp and weakening the joint. He will be undergoing surgery to fix this in early January, and the unexpected cost of the surgery is putting a lot of financial strain on me. Any help covering the surgery's costs and Upton's recovery (medications, etc.) would be greatly appreciated. Follow along on his Instagram page for more updates - @uptonthepupton !
(Full transparency - I do have pet insurance for Upton but due to the timing of when the accident occurred, none of this will be covered. The policy has a 6 month wait period for othropedic issues, and this was diagnosed two weeks before the wait period was up.)
