Help for Harper

Donation protected
Sam Mathew from SM Building is a small business owner in the north of Tasmania and a member of Master Builders Tasmania.

Sam and his wife Kahlia welcomed their beautiful daughter Harper into their lives a year ago and recently received devastating news that she had a benign brain tumour pressing on her optic nerve.

The tumour has been removed and among other things, it has left Harper sightless and there is a high likelihood that she will remain that way.

This earthshattering news has rocked their world. They have had to relocate from their home 2.5 hours away to be with Harper as she heals, and the doctors decide on her ongoing treatment.

This means that work must be pushed aside so they can concentrate on helping their daughter heal from this trauma.

It's hard enough to run a small business in the building and construction industry with normal day to day challenges, but when you are faced with the unknown of what lays ahead for your child and your family, it gets exponentially worse.

Master Builders Tasmania are organising this fundraiser to try and help ease some of the financial pressures for Sam's business to allow him to be there for his daughter and wife and to give them the space to find their new normal.

If you can spare some money to help this beautiful young family, then please donate.
