My name is Karina Aguilar and I am 17 years old. I am a High School Junior in Tucson, Arizona and the oldest of five children in my family.

Because of my outstanding grades in school, I have been invited to attend the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Boston, Massachusetts in June, 2016. I am very eager to attend this conference because it will help me in my future endeavors to become a psychiatrist, something I have been thinking about for some time. I would like to someday change the face of psychiatry by encouraging the movement away from mind numbing pharmaceuticals, toward a healthier evolution of self through choices, self-discovery, vitamins, and diet.

I am a member of the National Honor Society, and the Key Club (community service club). I have received two Student of the Year Awards. I have a 4.25 GPA, and am currently enrolled in AP classes. I am in the top 5% of my class. I have worked very hard to get where I am, and attending this conference would look great on my college applications (which I am already working on).

Please donate to help me pay for the conference ($1875), plus airfare and lodging (approximately $1100 depending on how soon I can buy tickets), plus food and incidentals for the three day event (approximately $200).
