Help Support a Beloved Father, Coach & Marine After a Massive Stroke

Dear friends, family, and community,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for a beloved husband, father of four, coach, and U.S. Marine veteran who has recently suffered a life-threatening medical emergency.

On August 24th, Joey Donovan suffered a massive stroke that required emergency surgery to remove part of his skull in order to relieve the severe swelling on his brain. The stroke was unexpected and devastating, and his road to recovery will be long, uncertain, and incredibly challenging.

Joey is the devoted father of four young children and the primary provider for his family of six. He is a man who has always put others before himself, whether serving our country as a United States Marine, coaching young athletes as a Franklin Football coach, or simply being there for his family, neighbors, and community whenever he was needed.

He has given so much to those around him, and now it’s our turn to support him and his loved ones through this unimaginable time.

Due to the severity of the stroke and the major surgery that followed, Joey is facing many months, but more likely years of recovery and rehabilitation. He remains hospitalized with an uncertain prognosis and will be unable to work for the foreseeable future. His wife is now caring for both him and their four children while trying to navigate the emotional, physical, and financial toll of this crisis.

Childcare and educational support for the children

Household expenses and necessities during this critical time
