On Saturday 4th April 2026 Uppermill AFC Under 9s (will be u10s) will fly out to Madrid for a once in a lifetime football experience........and they need your help!
The age group first started training April 2019. Since those initial days of basic ball play, king of the ring and Gary the Jackdaw (if you know, you know).......the age group has developed from c5 initial players to 4 teams of kids who absolutely love playing competitive football when Saturday and Sundays come.
To reward this passion and love of The Beautiful Game, our age group will be organising a number of fund raising events throughout 2025 so that c20 kids who are attending can fly to Madrid. They will take in a stadium tour whilst attending a live LaLiga Madrid match. Then will follow x2 technical development training sessions delivered in the Real Madrid complex; followed by x2 local opposition challenge matches.
The funds to pay for the kids costs are being raised via an adults Yorkshire 3 Peak challenge which follows the completed kids Saddleworth 3 Peaks challenge, club wide car wash events and much, much, more.
Your help is greatly appreciated as we look to continue to further develop team bonds and friendships, giving the kids an experience of a lifetime.
