As some of you maybe aware our postie (Jenny) had an incident last week while out delivering. Several people have asked if we as a village should have a fundraiser of some sort to help her. We've since spoken with Jenny and her recovery is looking positive and she's quite touched people wish to do something and has come up with a suggestion.

Although Jenny didn't actually get to go for a ride in it, the Devon air ambulance attended and was a great assistance on the day. So to its time for Upottery to turn this into something positive. We will set up a link to donate online, there will be a bucket at the pub, (along with a card for anyone who wishes to sign) and we will try to generate some funds at our cider festival and quiz in August.

I think you'll all agree the air ambulance does a fantastic job and us out in the countryside never know when we may need it. Let's show them our appreciation and raise as much as we can as a thank you for helping Jenny and many others over the years.
