Everyone knows that making it big in the music industry takes talent and a ton of hard work. Yet, one aspect that no one talks about, is the fact that many extremely talented artists, especially in the Hip Hop world, grow up in neighbourhoods that are exposed to gun violence every day with no opportunity to learn the in’s and out’s of the industry in a safe environment.

This violence has cost many upcoming Toronto artists their lives and several major record labels are refusing to sign or invest in Canadian artists due to the violence as they assume all Hip Hop artists are ‘gangsters’.

This assumption is costing artists the opportunity to have their work heard and is leaving entire communities without the support needed to help up-and-coming artists grow their craft and get out of the violent neighbourhoods.

UP N6XT Media knows there is a better way and we have helped various artists, musicians, and many others in the Toronto area promote their music through our artist development program as it is one way to help these artists get the break they need while helping them escape the violence they were forced to grow up in.

However, we are taking our programs even further to not only promote these talented artists but prepare them for life in the music industry through our Toronto Hip Hop Music Fund. With your support, not only will all artists have the opportunity to be seen and heard, but they will have the chance to learn about the music business, managing credit, homeownership, mental health, music writing, grant writing, financial literacy, anger management, conflict resolution, and so much more.

100% of your generous donation will allow us to provide grants to Toronto Hip Hop artists for various services such as:

Album Recording
Music Video Production
Marketing & Promotion
Living expenses
Feature Verses
Recording Equipment
Advertising
PLUS, seminars promoting mental health within the music industry giving them the best start in their career and life.

The Toronto Hip Hop Music Fund will directly benefit upcoming artists from Toronto (GTA) who come from underprivileged, gun-affected communities and allow them to finally escape the violence and begin their careers in a safe, supportive environment.

We ask that you also please share our campaign with your family, friends, and coworkers to help spread the word and give these artists the chance to share their talent with the world. No one should have to lose the life of a loved one or their own life to gun violence, and UP N6XT is giving these amazing artists the opportunity to break free from the cycle of violence, get on the right path to a successful career, and helping communities as a whole have a safe environment to grow.

No raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to our GoFundMe
