Help Persian Children

My name is Shirin Sobhani (aka Ghorbani). I am an Iranian-American who lived in Iran until 1985 and then Immigrated to Germany and subsequently to the United States in 1995. I'm a mother of four kids living in Washington State; and I'm on a personal mission to “Helping Persian Children". My mission is simple and will be very rewarding to those children who are not as fortunate as our children. I always had a dream to help the children in need after losing my cousin to an orphanage in my childhood years; and I always wondered how he grew up and what happened to him.

I’m starting slow and small… I’m flying to Iran on February 24th with some school supplies and children clothing with me to distribute to children in the most impoverished village I can locate. My brother (in Iran) is helping me locate few villages in Gilan Province, Iran that need our help the most. I will be purchasing food, clothing, school supplies, and other needed items locally from the nearest places to the villages and distribute them to the children in need.  Everything has got so expensive in Iran even some families cannot afford to have warm meal once a day.

I would like to invite you to join me in this journey....sharing a part of our good fortune with the poorest children in Iran. If you would like to help in having "our" village help the children of "their" village, please feel free to donate to this cause. I will return with pictures of those happy little faces as your receipt.
