Upminster CC - Junior Nets Project
Upminster Cricket Club is an amateur community sports club run on a not for profit basis. The club provides the opportunity for local adults and children to participate in cricket in a safe and secure environment.
The club has over 200 local junior members, and 100 local senior members. In order to continue delivering it's coaching program, the club wants to install a new 3 lane net facility next to the pavilion.
Sadly because of space restrictions, the proposed new net facility is not eligible for external ECB or Sport England funding, and the club therefore needs to pay for 100% of the costs directly.
The overall cost of the project is close to £40,000 and the club is looking to achieve crowd funding from it's members, colts parents, and local businesses and philanthropists to help plug £10,000 of the gap left by not being eligible for ECB funding.
Work on the nets started in January 2020, and they will be finished in February and will be ready to use at the start of the next summer season in April 2020.
Any amount large or small is greatly appreciated - PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY!
