Uplifting and Transforming: Haiti

Uplifting Communities, Transforming the World - that's what I live by. My name is Salome Beyene, a senior at Miami University, pursuing a degree in Community Nutrition and Premedical studies. Since a young age, I have been motivated by my parents to reach my full potential; my background has molded me to be open minded, driven, and full of perspective. I am extremely passionate in the world of health especially focusing on non-profit organizations that strive for International Development.
My passion to impact our world has taken me places I never imagined to go and it has recently presented me with an opportunity to travel to Haiti with my mentor, Dr. Michelle Golla. Together, we will be working in the improvished areas of Haiti to provide medical attention for those in need.
