Uplifting the Gibb Family

Chris Gibb and his family are good friends of ours. Chris and Danny grew up together in Bakersfield, went to high school, college and medical school together. Chris was a groomsman in our wedding too! Thereafter, Chris served in the United States Navy for several years. In honor of Veteran's Day yesterday, we appreciate him for serving our country!
As you all know, the fires in California have devastated many. We've been keeping up with the Gibb family Facebook posts to make sure they made it out of the fires! We are so glad and praising Jesus that Chris and his family are safe!
Not knowing whether his house was still standing, Chris' focus during the fires was on saving the lives of his patients, attending to them in whatever way he could and evacuating them out of the burning hospital. Cameras have caught him in action, as you can see in the pics below.
Sadly, Chris, his wife, Voleak, and two boys learned a short while later that they too were victims of the Paradise fires. They lost their house and most everything in it, including a car. In addition, Voleak's sister and nephew (age 11) who lived 10 minutes away lost everything as well. Voleak's nephew is gifted in music, and plays the piano, violin, and trumpet--all of his instruments were destroyed by the fires. The cover page of this GoFundMe campaign is the actual picture of what once used to be the Gibb home, now just a driveway and not much else.
Currently, Voleak, their 2 boys, her sister and nephew are staying in Bakersfield with Chris' parents. Chris is staying in Chico with some church members who have taken him in, while trying to process the devastation and figure out the future.
It is our prayer that we can uplift Chris and Voleak's family with love and encouragement. We hope many will rally together in support of the Gibb family so they can rebuild their lives together in California.
