Uplifting Our Youth Through the Power of Music

Hello everyone, my name is Ginger Williams, and I’m a proud community member of North Little Rock. For the past few years, I have had the privilege of supporting Mr. Keys Music School and Event Center located at 4623 E Broadway Suite B in North Little Rock Arkansas. I’d like to share a personal testimony of the incredible work being done by Minister Keithan Epps and his team. Mr. Keys Music School, founded by Minister Epps (aka Mr. Keys), has been a shining light for underprivileged youth in North Little Rock and Central Arkansas. I’ve witnessed firsthand how this program transforms young lives – boosting their self-esteem, teaching discipline, uncovering their hidden talents through the magic of music, and developing their relationship with God.

Why Mr. Keys Music School Matters to Me

From the moment I first walked into Mr. Keys Music School, I could feel something special. The walls echo with laughter, melodies, and words of encouragement. I’ve seen shy, uncertain children walk in with heads down, and after months of music lessons and loving mentorship, leave with heads held high and smiles on their faces. This isn’t just about learning notes on a page – it’s about building confidence and character.

How the Summer Program Changes Lives

This year, I am especially excited about the upcoming Summer Music Enrichment Program at Mr. Keys. It’s so much more than a music camp – it’s a lifeline for many kids during the summer months. When school is out, too many children in our community have limited options for constructive activities. This summer program fills that gap by providing a safe, loving environment where kids can learn and grow instead of being home alone or on the streets.

What does the Summer Music Enrichment Program offer?

It’s a comprehensive program that takes care of the whole child. For each participating youth, the program provides:

- Instrumental and Vocal Training

- Recreation and Fun Activities

- Nutritious Meals and Snacks

- Life Skills Workshops

- One-on-One Mentorship

- A Safe and Loving Environment

But there’s even more. Mr. Keys Music School is preparing young people not only to perform—but to prosper. Mr. Keys isn’t just teaching kids how to sing or play piano—he’s opening their eyes to what’s possible. The school is actively developing skilled musicians who are now playing in local churches and participating in community performances. Through mentorship, they are gaining real-world experience that is already leading to employment opportunities in the music industry.

Some students have even been invited to play in worship services, record in small studios, or perform at local events—all because of what they learned at Mr. Keys. They are turning their passion for music into income and seeing that their dreams can lead to a sustainable career. Whether it’s becoming a music teacher, sound engineer, worship leader, or performer—this school is laying the foundation for both spiritual and economic empowerment.

This isn’t just a camp—it’s a pipeline to purpose. Through music, these kids are learning to lead, to serve, and to earn. They are discovering that their God-given gifts can open doors far beyond what they ever imagined—and that’s a legacy worth investing in.
