Hello, I’m Jo and honoured to be a close friend of Linnea’s. Our generous, optimistic and incredibly strong friend’s medical situation has been acute for about three years, and sadly she is now preparing for a risky, invasive and major surgery on her organs on April 14th. She will be hospitalized for at least 1-2 weeks afterwards, and recovering for 6 months+.

Although being unable to work since early December, she is still awaiting disability coverage and navigating medical EI. Many more months of lost income are adding heavily to her stress, especially after only recently completing her graduate studies. Let’s lighten the burden for her so she can focus on healing.

Friend, neighbour, partner, parent, social worker, counsellor, artist, volunteer…Linnea has created a life that is so incredibly giving. I’m always amazed by how much Linnea goes out of her way to contribute to our community, and I’m so glad we have the chance to mirror that generosity back to her now. It can be hard for her to accept help, and I know she’s deeply moved and humbled by the generosity being shown to her. Relieving some of her financial stress means a lot more to her than just the much-needed practical help. So thank you so much for that lift.
