2 of our very dearest loved ones, Kellen and Gabby Byrne, recently suffered from an abysmal end to their wedding. While their loved ones made it to their big day in good health and spirit, Kellen and Gabby had to cut their time with their loved ones short due to a freak accident.
In a fit of joy after marrying the woman of his dreams, Kellen smashed his face into the wedding cake and unbeknown to him there was a cylindrical wooden rod used to support the cake. STOP READING IF YOU GET QUEAZY ABOUT GRUESOME INJURIES. Kellen ultimately impaled his left eye and the rod pierced his eyelid and drove through his eyeball by over 2". The rod went so deep that it nearly damaged Kellen's brain.
At this time, Kellen is doing ok and he's managing recovery one day at a time. Gabby, who is one badass b**** and Kellen's rock has been there for him every step of the way and they are hoping for a full recovery, though Kellen does not yet have complete vision recovery nor the ability to open his eye. Hopefully, in good time Kellen's vision will return to normal and we are praying for nothing but a full recovery.
In an effort to help minimize the pain and stress they are suffering, our goal is to raise at least $3,000 for Kellen and Gabby to use for medical bills and their upcoming honeymoon. If you've never had the pleasure of meeting Kellen and Gabby, I can tell you they are of the most genuine, loving, and human-centric kind of people I know. They always step up when life calls for them to help their kids, family, friends, and even strangers. The world would be a much better place with more Kellens and Gabbys and this is a great opportunity to show them our appreciation.
