Uplifting Adam through the Unthinkable

Meet the Gill Family: Adam, Dale and their 2 beautiful daughters Sydney (16) and Carlea (14). For anyone who doesn't know Adam, you are missing out! He's funny, caring, honest, loving, determined, encouraging to everyone he meets and super optimistic about life. If you aren’t careful, he will pull a prank on you that will have you laughing hysterically. He's a loving father, husband and one of the best friends you can ever have. He is an inspiration to so many people, always approaching life with passion, laughter, and a glass half full attitude. In his career as a middle school teacher and volunteer basketball coach, he is always encouraging kids and helping them to believe they can be anything they put their mind to.

In March of 2022, Adam was having medical symptoms that most people think would resolve on their own. When the headaches and dizziness didn’t stop, his wife brought him to the emergency room only to find out he had a mass on his brain. Adam was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. With the diagnosis of glioblastoma, it was obviously devastating news. Since his diagnosis, Adam has been a true fighter and has taken every opportunity while he is healthy enough to enjoy the time he has left with those that mean the most to him. He was even able to keep working until May of this year.

With a long and daunting road ahead, projected time off work, and vast medical expenses, the goal of this fund is to help relieve some of the financial burden, so that Adam is free to focus on his treatment, his family, and his emotional well-being. It is our wish that this will make his strength a little stronger, his heart a little lighter and the journey a little easier.
